Founded in 2025, Bright Pathways Foundation was created to break cycles of poverty, recidivism, and food insecurity in Ocala by meeting urgent needs and building clear pathways to independence.
We believe every person deserves dignity, opportunity, and support—offering a hand up, not a handout, so individuals can move forward with confidence and hope.

Our work starts with safe housing and life-skills training, then expands to job readiness programs, vocational certifications, and resource connections that lead to lasting stability. Every safe night’s rest, every training session, and every act of encouragement becomes a spark for transformation.

Together with community partners and supporters, we are rebuilding lives, strengthening families, and helping Ocala become a place where everyone has the chance to thrive.

Cherrelle King is the visionary founder of Bright Pathways Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to breaking cycles of poverty, recidivism, and food insecurity in Ocala, Florida. With a passion for second chances and a commitment to uplifting those most overlooked, Cherrelle has made it her mission to create pathways of hope and opportunity for individuals ready to rebuild their lives.

Her journey began with a clear purpose: to remove the barriers that keep vulnerable populations—especially returning citizens—from achieving stability. Through safe housing, life-skills training, and workforce development programs, Cherrelle has seen how a supportive environment and practical tools can empower people to take the next step toward independence and long-term success.

Cherrelle leads Bright Pathways Foundation with both compassion and vision, guided by a belief in a “hand up, not a handout” approach. Under her leadership, the organization has become a powerful movement that combines immediate support with sustainable solutions—turning hardship into opportunity and creating stronger families and communities.
